We built this firm around one idea: schools deserve a business office that is stable, transparent and done right every time, no matter who is in the chair.
Our story
SBO Management gives schools a single, accountable partner for full-service school business administration. Our approach comes from more than 20 years of running New Jersey school business offices, starting in 2005: document the work, run it on a calendar, and have a licensed SBA review every step. Schools kept telling him the same thing: qualified SBAs are hard to find and harder to keep, and every departure sets the business office back.
Today we serve charter schools, public districts, an educational services commission and private schools across the state, with a team of licensed SBAs, purchasing agents, accountants and payroll specialists.

Dr. Brian S. Falkowski
Brian is the founder of SBO Management and has served New Jersey public schools as a school business official since 2005, beginning as a Board Secretary before becoming a School Business Administrator. He has led business offices across charter schools, public districts and an educational services commission, with expertise spanning school finance, facilities, transportation, food services, construction management, school security and human resources.
He earned his Doctorate in Education from Nova Southeastern University in 2013, with a dissertation titled Evaluation of a Business Services Agreement Between Two New Jersey School Districts. He holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Kean University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics Education from The College of New Jersey.

How our engagements are structured
Schools contract with SBO Management LLC. The licensed professionals who perform the work are employed by School Business Office LLC, an independent company that provides services to SBO Management under subcontract. You get one agreement, one point of accountability and one invoice.
